In December 2022, the Lord impressed upon Pastor Hampton’s heart that it was time to launch out into the deep and plant a ministry with the purposes of making disciples who follow the direction and leading of The Lord and bridging the gap between church and community. After much fasting, prayer, and trepidation, God took Pastor Hampton to the scriptures, specifically, Jeremiah 6:16 MSG, which says, “God’s Message yet again: “Go stand at the crossroads and look around. Ask for directions to the old road, The tried-and-true road. Then take it. Discover the right route for your souls...”; and in May 2023, The Lord birthed Crossroads Church.

Fasting and praying continued to be a staple at the foundation of the ministry and things just began to fall in order. During the ministry's continual fasting and praying, God opened a door for to be able to hold worship services at Harmony Hall in Fort Washington, MD, which had been closed for rental space since 2020.

Daily virtual prayer meetings with about six faithful members were held from July 2023 until the inaugural service on October 1, 2023.Crossroads Church are committed to the kingdom work of The Lord, in and outside of the four walls on the church. We believe that eyes have not seen, nor ears heard, neither has it entered into our hearts the things that The Lord has in store for us.
